HAZWOPER

Audience: Uncontrolled hazardous waste site operators, environmental consultants, engineers, environmental technicians, regulatory personnel.

Duration: 40 Hours

Description:

40-hour HAZWOPER as per 29 CFR 1910.120 is provided to allow participants to receive 40 hours of classroom instruction as required by OSHA. Completion of this course allows the participant to work on uncontrolled hazardous waste sites as required by regulatory agencies in all 50 states. Course requires an 8-hour refresher course to maintain certification.

ISO 14000 Environmental Standards: Concepts, Components, and Implementation

 

Audience: Company Assigned


Duration: 8 Hours

 

Description:

This course provides a comprehensive overview of the concepts, components, and implementation of ISO 14000. Course format includes instructor presentations, individual group activities, group discussions, role-play, and case study application. The International Organization for Standardization's ISO 14000 is a new approach to environmental protection in organizations. It relies on voluntary initiatives to establish the foundation for a consistent and rational application of resources and management know-how to environmental obligations and challenges. Delta College Corporate Services has partnered with the non-profit organization's PETE (Partnership for Environmental & Technology Education) to develop and present this course.

Pollution Prevention Design for Environment

Audience: Company specified. This course can be modified to fit almost any type of business or industry.


Duration: Dependent upon customer needs.

 

Description:

Adaptable to any organization's needs, off-the-shelf presentations are available for automotive, printing/screen printing industries, wiring boards, green chemistry, printed wiring boards, dry cleaning, lithography, general environmental awareness, and pollution prevention industries.

Regulatory Compliance Programs

A wide variety of regulatory compliance courses and seminars can be delivered as requested. Program is customized and developed as requested by customer. Certain programs are run in conjunction with other units within Corporate Services, as well as with ASTM, regulatory agencies, and professional organizations (MAEP). Currently, the following program are available for presentation: ASTM Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (nationwide presentations).

ASTM Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessment

 

Audience: Environmental professionals, consultants, mortgage companies, bankers, developers, commercial realestate officers


Duration: 16 Hours for Phase I & 12 Hours for Phase II

Description:

These courses are presented in conjunction with ASTM International. Courses can be provided together or separately. Phase I covers the ASTM standards E-1527 and E-1528 for commercial real estate ESA. Phase II covers the ASTM standard guide for conducting site investigations following the completion of a Phase I ESA. Both courses have been provided nation-wide and are also presented internationally. Course can be modified to provide site specific requirements.
