LMS (Learning Management System) Operations and Support

 

Purpose:

This job exists to provide day-to-day technical and operational support to users of the client’s Learning Management System (LMS).

 

Key Responsibilities:

Delta College Corporate Services expects job performance to be consistent with its mission, values, and business objectives, and believes that each employee contributes to improved performance by continuously searching for ways to improve offerings, products, services, and processes.

 

Key job responsibilities include

  1. Create and maintain LMS data including curriculums, courses, course catalogs, facilities, and instructors
  2. Provide system and work process support to client’s employees and subject matter experts
  3. Monitor, troubleshoot, and identify improvement opportunities related to data feeds into the learning management system
  4. Contribute to continuous improvements by identifying and communicating cost savings and efficiency opportunities and recommending new tools and ideas
  5. Input LMS security requests
  6. Provide support for course owners who create eLearning modules

 

Specialized  activities may include:

  1. Design, build and release global reports for Learning
  2. Provide publishing support (consulting and advisors) to global course content owners as they create eLearning modules
  3. Make system enhancements or load special data sets to prepare for a new business/geography implementation, test a system, upgrade, or to convert existing data & coding

Qualifications:

Education:      Technical or Associates degree (MIS preferred) or equivalent experience

Experience:    1 to 2 years of system administration preferred

Technical:       Familiarity with Microsoft Office Tools including Access, Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.  Experience using Learning Managements systems, including building and loading SCORM compliant eLearning modules and reporting
