This course is a tour of two key area of a of Lithium Ion Batteries business: a Research and Development Lab & a Manufacturing.

  • Find out the difference between Lithium batteries and Lithium Ion batteries.
  • See equipment such as industrial mixers, coating and drying machines and our dry room where pressing, winding, slicing, and cell assembly takes place.

Advanced Battery Mfg. Fast Start

Delta College is offering a new Fast Start training program in Advanced Battery Manufacturing to meet the needs of employers in the Great Lakes Bay Region. Hundreds of Plant Operating Technicians are needed and this program will provide the training for you to qualify for these jobs. Plant Operating Technicians operate, monitor, and maintain manufacturing, fabrication and assembly equipment and processes for the production of advanced lithium ion batteries.

 

Program Availability

There are only 24 seats available in each class. Program slots will be offered to the applicants who best meet the preferred candidate qualifications.

 

Costs

Cost: $5,100
Financial support may be available to those who qualify through Michigan Works!. Pell grants and federal student loans are not available for this program. We are in the process of submitting this program for the GI Bill-it is not currently available.
